When a 5-watt handheld will not cover the track, you step up to a mobile. These units mount in the car and run 20 to 50 watts off the car’s power, which is what endurance teams and big road courses need to stay in contact from anywhere on the circuit.

Mobiles need a proper roof or deck antenna and a good ground plane to make their power count. Pair one with a Phantom Elite or quarter-wave antenna kit from our antenna section.
