The AR550’s total RF-blocking housing and filtered audio circuit keep the intercom clean even with a 50-watt radio in the same car.

Inside the car — the intercom

• AR550 intercom unit — 2 to 4 place — this package is wired for two, and you can add positions later
• Two Over-the-Head flex boom headsets
• Two 12 ft headset direct cables
• iPhone / music quick-connect cable port — pipe music or a phone through the intercom

Car to car — the radio

• Vertex VX-2200 VHF 50-watt mobile radio — hard-wired, so there is no battery to manage
• VHF antenna and coax cable

The radio is programmed and tested with the intercom before shipping, so the whole thing works as one system out of the box. Mounting hardware and easy-to-follow instructions are included.
