Crew Cannot Hear Driver
The inability of the crew to hear the driver is most often due to improper microphone placement within the helmet or on the crew headset. Poor Radio Range

Low Voice Volume
Reduced voice volume is often caused by the microphone not being properly positioned at the driver's lips. Because the headsets used are noise-canceling, substituting a handheld radio without a headset will result in much louder audio to the driver compared to using a headset.
