Custom Earbuds w/Self Impression Kit - Made In USA

My first pair of these custom molded racing earbuds were solid. Doing the impressions yourself is easy enough, but the instructions are vague on the second bend of the ear canal. Look up an anatomy reference first and you will save the guesswork. The vendor did excellent work fitting the molds, and they send everything back. Do not lose those molds, they matter later. On track these kill a ton of noise and make the radio easy to hear. I got plenty of happy laps out of them, until my last event, where they grew tiny legs and walked away. That is where Sampson Racing won me over. I contacted customer service, frantic about turnaround. Sara asked if I still had the molds, and I did. She sent the invoice and a prepaid shipping label, expedited them to ship next day, and joked she would disable the tiny legs feature so the next pair stays put. Part quality is great. Customer service is better. Sara turned me from a casual buyer into a customer for life.

Ordered the Custom Ear-molds Impression Kit ($245). Arrived quickly but kit instructions were a bit outdated leading me to think I may have been missing some items. Called the hotline provided and left a message since they were closed. Heard back first thing the next day from Sara. She was very nice and very helpful. Turns out I was missing a pre-paid shipping label which she sent out via email to me within minutes of the call. Other items I thought I was missing were no longer included in the product due to changes, but instructions had not yet been updated to reflect this. Recommend updating instructions to include the new number of silicone containers (just 2, no longer 3), and no “pink mailer” box anymore. Also would be helpful to include the bit about putting the silicone in the fridge for 30 minutes before using and the ability to do one ear mold at a time. Overall very response to the customer though which is so rare nowadays. Thanks Sampson.

Hoping the custom ear molds filter out race noise better than the foam or semi-custom ear buds do. making the molds is pretty straight forward but I'd suggest having a helper if possible. Would be much easier for the helper to form the material in the users ears.

All items were ok, however I would recommend that the container you ship items in be stronger not as easy to collapse.

Received all items in good condition. The first attempt at making the ear mold was unsuccessful, fortunately there is three packets of compound included. I was very sensitive to the time allowed before setup, even in wasting no time the mixture set up before I could squeeze it out of the syringe. After thinking about what had happened, I placed the remaining two packets in the refrigerator for 5 minutes, mixed them being careful not to introduce any heat (friction) in the mixing process, quickly put in syringe and dispensed. With that method, I just got all the mixture dispensed into my ear as it setup. The mold turned out nicely. Currently waiting for finished product to be returned. Hopeful for perfect, comfortable fit!

Arrived quick, easy to take the impressions and send to have created. Arrived back to me within a week. Fit awesome, I regret never getting custom molds before. Only thing I would like is a bigger tab to remove them from my ear.

I always wanted custom buds and it was really easy! I can't believe I waited so long. The video was really helpful and it took about 8 days to get them back ready to go.
